Story Behind The Song
Daniel and I were listening to a song on the radio in Miami that had a flute playing in it, and we were really feeling the vibe. I told him that I just feel like getting a lot of stuff off my chest. He asked if I wanted a beat with a flute like the one we were listening to. I said definitely. When we got to the studio, he laced a track in about a half hour while I began writing as soon as I heard the basic drum beat. What cam out was "Life's Patrols."

Life?s Patrols
V1: Cousins are too scared to speak their mind/ I sleep behind/ Seeking then release my find/ It seems blind to most/ But the reason my mind transcends time is the climb that I?ve made should coast/ Make most shake/ Yo, these guys are flaky/ I wake up with headaches/ My ideas tracing/ Touched/ Encompass much like Macys/ Then battle dumb kids/ With their bum ideas/ Amazing to my peers/ ?Cause I?ve faced my fears/ Whether it?s insecurities with appearance or the early years/ Killing the majority/ Authority in hand/ To clean up the poverty striking our land/ The poor have got voices/ Don?t ignore their noises/ A difference can be hoisted/ With positive poison/ I inject to bless the best/ Pest is here/ To cause the rap game to inspire with cheer/.
Hook: I don?t really know why you came out tonight to lose/ I don?t claim to be hot/ But the music never lies and it?s saying you?re not/ I just make the most of these rhymes that define my views/ I believe that with the love we hold/ We can take control of this world/ Life?s patrols/.
V2: Here we go/ Second verse/ Same flows, just challenged/ How is the balance of life so easily damaged?/ In our everyday struggle, same rules apply/ Every guy, chick and bisexual dude abides/ By the laws of the land/ All drawn up by man/ Rich beaurocrats/ Who plan assassinations of Arafat/ Democrats, Republicans making us choose/ While it just proves/ Either way, we all seem to lose/ In the news or on the TV screen/ Channel 2 or BBC/ The horrendous shows its horns/ It?s endless/ Cornering man?s intelligence to what?s proven/ Snorting propaganda with the crack were using/ And what?s sad is the blues in the music is gone/ I no longer have the stuff that I grew up on/ So I?m here writing songs/ Influence is born/ Not the cause of the millis/ But because I?m strong/ C?mon/.

V3: Let the rhythm bleed/ Feel it indeed/ Drip on your sleeve/ This is me/ The Juk-man/ Rapping like you can?t/ Human/ With more flows than chicks have bras/ And I?m not talking Europeans living au natural/ Still my females inhale smoke from this dope beat/ Getting high off my tone and the words I speak/ I don?t care what your thoughts of me are/ I?m setting truth from my heart till I end up in the E.R.
