father a young man imagine what he sees
sometimes I wonder what my mother saw in her
was it her eyes her smile or the way her skirt hugged her

we send a hug we send a kiss to you
we nursed from her bosom and from her learned pleasure
to be kind polite and clean for good measure

I am the child the world revolves around me
she embraces my smile, my painful cries and all between
