Song Description
I wrote this song on the day after christmas one year. It was that time right after Christmas when you finally realize, as you do every year, that Christmas is not all it's cracked up to be, and that we thrive on stupid little things like this. That's how the song starts out and then other stuff bleeds into it, like relationship hurts and stuff like that. This is a pitiful description.

Lyrics
(V1)
The day after Christmas
All my hopes are off
The shining silver lining falls
Unflattered under these rooftops
The day after tommorow
All my bets will be off
And all the grinning at the ceiling
Made this man no less lost
(Ch)
But I still wonder
What if we'd have done things right?
If lives could re-align, if stars could re-ignite
But I still wonder
If this blaze could still be cold
Take back our super-nova
And bring a story that's begging to be told
(V2)
Like the honeymoon they promised
All my plans are off
And smiling as the time is flying
In effigy we'll hang the mob
The day after my last birthday
Twenty years had gone
And each year goes a little faster
Faster now 'till they're all gone
(Ch)
