Academy Award winning filmmaker, Charles Guggenheim's documentary of the artist commissioning process, architectural design, construction, and dedication of the East Building of the National Gallery of Art, I.M. Pei, architect. Renowned artists featured in this film include Alexander Calder, Henry Moore, Robert Motherwell, Du`Buffet, and Henri Mattise. The score is performed by the London Symphony Orchestra, & conducted by John David Burke.
