Story Behind The Song

One of the first songs I penned after a night of jamming in a rehearsal studio and coming home to a few beers. The main riff popped in my head; and the story line/lyrics followed suit. Always into ancient astronauts, ufo's, ruins, etc., this seemed to be a fantastic idea.

Song Description

Ancient ruins, pyramids,UFO's, etc., have always interested me. Was really trying to write a song about UFO's and the like; but it went to 'left field' and turned into this song; a song about an archeologist who came upon ancient ruins in the middle of a forest and the curse that was let loose upon his entering those ruins. Me and the bass player had a battle over the musical fitting of the opening acoustic guitar part; which, with his music theory background, told him shouldn't fit....well, it did ;)
