Story Behind The Song

I wanted to write a song about what I saw, read, and felt whenever I would look through a newspaper or watch the news on TV; and, with all the horrors, violence, hipocracy and sadness throughout the world, how g-d (the One) could allow such things.

Song Description

Song about seeing all the horror in the world around us. All the wonder and questions in our faith-based beliefs...'And of the One (Jesus) who said he'd save us from it all' Politics and those we entrust our day to day lives with only to find out they too, have turned on us. One of the later lines in the song, 'Life was so good in this special land' speaks to how wonderful we have it in our great nation; but how easily it can change..'Then they came and changed our love, our life', can mean many things about how our life, and what we have and love, can change with violent reactions or war... 'Through their hearts I'll stab them with my knife' 'What of our children, will they live to see us fall' That line says a great deal. I think both musically and lyrically, it is probably one of my best compositions. This song ranked very high, always in the top 10 or top 5, on many internet music sites especially Audiostreet.net where it placed number one many times and was one of several of our songs that were hosted there that saw similar rankings. Though a bit old in its recording, all the songs we had hosted there ranked among the highest played among all hard rock/heavy metal artists! For some reason no one can seem to find out, Audiostreet.net just disappeared with no message or reason from them whatsoever.
