Story Behind The Song
Premise: Artist whining (1 side of argument)
Artists waiting for their opportunity to express themselves and their art to the masses but the masses don?t really care and when their opportunity comes (their art form and style becomes trendy), they can either play by the labels rules or give their opportunity to someone else who is willing. The gap is so small that soon what they are all about is passé and cliché. This experience ruins mainstream art for the artist and he can never enjoy mainstream art like the masses and it leaves him feeling estranged.

Lyrics
The circus is OK
But it isn?t like before
From the corner of my eye
To see your face walk through that door,
You said you wouldn?t be long, (won?t)
But you lied to me.
I wonder just how you felt
To leave that place without your boy
An ocean of apathy
Anxious hands to guide me through
Oh they make me act this way
And I do this everyday
Have we passed each other by
Would you recognize
Another mundane love affair
A privileged life of the bored
Knowing I could never be
Innocent curiosity
