As the smell of bacon fills the room
Sneak in the kitchen and hug my wife
Grab the paper and a cup of brew

At the table I read the headlines
A politician caught in a lie
Muslim Extremists kill small children
In Iraq a thousand soldiers die

I raise my eyes to look at my children and the wife that I love?
Outside a world full of hate, inside this room there?s love

Before church I turn on the TV
My wife and children enter the room
We huddle close before the big screen
To watch highlights from the weekly news

Bombings in our oldest cities
Ethnic cleansing as we turn an eye
Walls built to separate families
The Muslim, Christian and Jew still die

I turn my head to look at my children and the wife that I love?
