Story Behind The Song

One Saturday afternoon when I was about twelve or thirteen, my dad came to the piano where I was practicing. He'd just picked up some pictures he'd had developed and placed one on the piano music desk where I could see it. It was a simple, yet beautiful picture of fluffy white clouds against a pale blue sky. "Play what you feel," he said. That simple phrase was where it connected for me. Sure, I'd written songs before as I'd goofed around with the keys, but this was different. A whole new world of feeling the music opened up. The rest is history....still in the making.
