Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song as a teenager when my uncle died of cancer. Years later the song ministered to my own family when a friend of mine sang it for my father's funeral.
This song was also selected as a memorial service song by the families of children killed in a school bus accident in Kentucky.

Lyrics
I'll Never Leave You
Verse 1:
I asked the Lord about all the sorrows of this life.
i asked the Lord about the wars and the strife.
About all those good people who have to suffer pain
and those that this world slowly drives insane.
I don't understand the reason
but I hear the voice of Jesus
and this is what he said....
chorus:
I'll never ever leave you
and you'll never walk alone
Through the sadness and the sorrows my love will make you strong.
I'll never ever leave and you'll always be my own.
even in the midnight I will be your song.
Verse 2:
Sometimes I question why
when I see a little girl
mistreated and confused she lives in a different world.
and when I see a young man who'll never know the joy
of playing in the street with the other boys.
It breaks my heart in pieces but I hear the voice of Jesus
and this is what he says...
chorus 2:
He'll never ever leave me and i'll never walk alone.
Through the sadness and the sorrow His love will make me strong.
He'll never ever leave me and i'll always be his own. Even in the midnight He will be my song.
