Story Behind The Song
This is an extreme case, but I've seen too many women sucked into situations like this. An old roommate of mine from college comes to mind. Her ex-boyfriend stalked her for two years, then one day showed up at the bar she was working at with a gun. He was arrested and she was very lucky (to be alive).
Song Description
She's so in love and needy, she can't see all the problems with this guy. It's supposed to be humorous and sad.

Lyrics
I still remember
The day he hooked me with that line
I was bailing out ma, when he said,
Baby what's your sign?
And all of the letters
He wrote me with each passing year
Sayin' someday I'll get out
Outta here
He came with a warning label
He saved my life from being dull
He'll sneak into my bedroom window
On the nights the moon is full
He's gone when I wake up
But I know I'm never alone
Cuz he's jealous, obsessive, compulsive and possessive
But I love him
And that's all I really know
He's a bit of a talker
And I probably should mention
Some say he's a stalker
But I like the attention
My friends try to warn me
Of the rumors they say they've heard
But he tells me to trust no one but him
And I believe in his every word
