Lyrics
A child was born with the beauty of a maiden fair
There was innocence behind her blue eyes and golden hair
And years they passed like a falling star through the air.
You can place your bets on life as if it were a game
And stare at the lights, be drawn to where the angels sing
With fire and thunder you protect yourself,
Your sisters, your father your mother ,your lover
I am begging you please before you leave to think twice about all this maddness you see
And maybe, maybe it'll all make sense
This course of events that has brought you to your knees
Passive and weak you refuse to be,
Embrace your youth and then question your sanity
And say to yourself I think the gods, the gods, the gods, must be crazy
I know it isn't fair when you can't be what you want to be
And I know it isn't right when your dreams don't become reality
But I haven't forgotten what it means to want to be free
Free
I am begging you please before you leave to think twice about all this maddness you see
And maybe, maybe it'll all make sense
This course of events that has brought you to your knees
Belong to this moment and blister from the wind
And burn with the fire and the passion of the damned
And mayeb, maybe it'll all make sense
This course of events that has brought you to your knees
To your knees
