This is a good album track that grows on second listen. It has a catchy rhythm and keeps the attention of the listener throughout the song. I will likely be humming part of the melody for a while. The melody and arrangement fit the lyric and vocal and carry the story and imagery in the song very well. It has a good hook and the singer is very easy on the ear.
Good mix! This song doesn't belong in the folk category. It is a bouncy little ditty, even the parts about feeling down were upbeat. The vocalist did a creditable job, made me want to listen again.
