This is a passage of life song. From boy to man. Kind of contemplative, but also upbeat and fun to listen to, especially with that fiddle, which really adds a lot to the track. Vocal is crystal clear and nicely performed, perfectly in tune.

Nice song, catchy and sounds like something on the he radio. Well done. I liked how it followed him from a child to his prime and a man and then he seems to have insight as a man to think freely like a child.

This song has a nice feel. I like the lyrics. The instrumentation was very good. The vocals and harmonies were really good. I really liked the fiddle in the background. Nice touch. The arrangement is good. The mix sounded good. I like the tone of the background guitar.

I think this would work well for a mainstream country artist - maybe as an album cut for an older male country artist? Nice work all round, but because I'm not that au fait with the Americana genre, this strikes me more as an MOR style. But it works well as a song, no doubt about that.
