A Storm Outside My Window

Felt the warm wind blowing up a storm outside my window
Saw a flash and lightning struck the ice
I wondered if this passing storm might rearrange my seasons
I was hoping that the lightning might strike twice
I was hoping that the lightning might strike twice

---Refrain 1---
So I came down from the mountain, come down from the mountain
Lord knows I've been scared
I came down from the mountain, come down from the mountain
My heart should be shared
---------------
Summer love and winter clothes transform but they change quickly
Like the love that warmed your heart when you were young
Autumn moons can lead you to a place no one has taken
To the space between the stars, life has begun
To erase your broken heart, love has begun

---Refrain 2---
So I came down to the river, come down to the river
To wash my soul clean
I came down to the river, come down to the river
To find my new dream
----------------
-Bridge-
To say I never loved you
Is to say I loved in vain
To know I'll always love you
Is to know I'll love again
Love again

-Repeat Refrain 2-

Felt the warm wind blowing up a storm
Outside my window

I love the hook line lyrics and melody, very catchy. This could be a crossover between country and folk. The instrumentation really fit the mood of the song. The vocals were solid and well done.

Beautiful song with a lot of heart felt meaning. Lost love and never ending hope of loves return. Well written and performed.

A lavish sound palette used here! I like the male vocalist's timbre!

It's a beautiful melody. Lovely chord progression. A compelling performance from the lead vocalist. Strong musicianship. The lyric hook 'down to the river' is very effective and overall the lyrics are strong. The quality of the recording is excellent. Great sound quality.

Really pleasant tune with nice instrumentation and supporting vocals. Piece has a really cool Gordon Lightfoot feel to it.

a nice country folk song, with a ole skool feel to it. has a glen campbell kind of sound and style to to it
it has a nice easy going vibe and ease to the performance.
