I heard a man talk about how he had a near death experience and went to heaven. He said there was a long line of people waiting to see Jesus. as they would approach Him, He would ask each one the question, "Did you learn how to love". As they answered , "Yes." they literally disappeared into Him walking through Him as through a 'door' into heaven.
When I heard the story. I felt a overwhelming sense that I really didn't measure up ... I had not really learned to love as He loves. The song is a prayer of my heart to be more like Jesus.
