Song Description

"As I continually strived to better myself and face my inner demons, I went back to New York to mend the broken relationships with my family and friends. As a result of the wisdom I've gained on my journey, I've released my first single "Hold On"; a song of hope when you need the strength to keep pushing forward towards your goals." -Shannon Remy

Lyrics

HOLD ON

Verse 1
I'm never gonna be alone
Cause you're right there by my side
You're my guiding light (Hey)
And every time I feel afraid
I close my eyes and pray
The fear just fades away
And everything's gonna be alright
(It's gonna get better)
Everything's gonna be alright

Chorus
Never give up
Hold On
Never lose hope
Stay strong
When you feel you're all alone
Tie a knot in the end of your rope
And hold on

Verse 2
And anytime I feel afraid
You're always gonna make a way
I lift my hands - Close my eyes
Reach to you and pray
Even through times of trial
You were there all the while
I won't retreat - Refuse defeat
I push all pride aside

Chorus
Never give up
Hold On
Never lose hope
Stay strong
When you feel you're all alone
Tie a knot in the end of your rope
And hold on

Bridge
No matter what challenge I face
I will take that leap of faith
Calling on inner strength
To take me all the way
Wherever this road may lead
It's never as bad as it seems
Cause you're right here with me
Believing in my dreams

(Sammy Maloof Spoken Word)
You need to hold on from the inside-out Play until you win
When it seems like you're at the end of your rope
Tie a knot in it and hold on

Chorus
Never give up
Hold On
Never lose hope
Stay strong
When you feel you're all alone
Tie a knot in the end of your rope
And hold on
