Story Behind The Song

Some years ago, whilst engaging in a primer study of Buddhism I was struck by the idea of taking a chant and setting it to music. Whilst acknowledging the imperfection of my vocal interpretation presented here, I wished to try and convey the joy behind the concept through music.

Song Description

Using Mozart's 'Divertimento in D' and Buddhism as a starting point layers are added and gears shift. The intention behind the piece is to initially allow for reflection through serenity, before being taken through a more energetic phase until ultimately we arrive at joy before once more finding reflection.
