Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song in tribute to "the ones that get away."
Song Description
Seeking the affection of a girl that plays the "chasing game" far too well. She is always a step ahead, is unreadable and always stays just out of reach. She only gives enough of herself to keep me interested but throws me out of my comfort zone with a role reversal where she controls the courting process. No wonder I'm trippin.

Lyrics
I sit back and watch those indicators turn to red
If I don't get a hold of myself, yeah
I don't stand a hope in hell
Not in a position to choose
Destined to lose
No more artillery to use
You got me trippin
The textbook don't tell me what to do
Rules will never work with you
Got me running round in circles baby trippin over you
When I'm with you I lose my game
The wild cat has now been tamed
I'm chasing my tale now baby trippin over you
In this game, emotions cannot get in the way, no
I'm in need of inspiration
But I can keep these feelings locked away
Not in a position to choose
Destined to lose
No more artillery to use
You got me trippin
The textbook don't tell me what to do
Rules will never work with you
Got me running round in circles baby trippin over you
When I'm with you I lose my game
The wild cat has now been tamed
I'm chasing my tale now baby trippin over you
Not in a position to choose
Destined to lose
No more artillery to use
You got me trippin
The textbook don't tell me what to do
Rules will never work with you
Got me running round in circles baby trippin over you
When I'm with you I lose my game
The wild cat has now been tamed
I'm chasing my tale now baby trippin over you
