Lyrics

Dady worked a coal mine
beneath the west virgina stone
gave up the best years
to that godforsaken whole
never got to do the things
he wanted too
don't follow in my footsteps sun
heres my advice to you

chorus:
Follow your heart
Don't be affraid of that unknown highway
the good lord will help
If you help yourself and give it your best try
it's all up to you which road you choose
so follow your heart
and don't be afraid of that unknown highway

Theres a whole wide world a wating
for a man thats his own man
be willing to take a chance
and it'll pay off in the end
I spent my whole life down in these mines
it's what i had to do
and i nearly choaked on that old black dust
to make a better life for you

repeat chorus
