Story Behind The Song

I was in a band for 11 years, when, through a decision of my own, I decided to leave (on good terms), build a studio, learn to engineer, produce, etc., and do all original material. The guys let me know a few months later that they had done a demo cd with the guy who replaced me and wanted my opinion of it. I got a copy of the cd, and lo and behold, about 60% of the music were my tunes, with credits going to the producer for his "never ending support and incredibly original ideas". I was mad, Outside the Circle got written.
