Story Behind The Song
In 1984, Joey Tafolla and Ian Tescee were simultaneously recording projects at Startsong Recording. Joey was, at that time, the lead guitarist for Heavy-Metal band JAG Panzer, who were recording their Ample Destruction album with the same producer, who asked Joey to track some guitar on the Ian Tescee project as an experiment, but the album took a different direction and Joey's tracks were used only sparingly in the final mixes. This mix of The Volcanoes changes all that, and Joey's brilliant guitar work is prominently featured.
Song Description
This track, from Ian Tescee's classic EM spacemusic album Io, has been remixed to feature guitar tracks originally played by Joey Tafolla. cir. 1982. This shifts the mood more toward Tangerine Dream/Pink Floyd.
