Lyrics to ?SNOWING?
Copyright2003Herschel Gelfand
Just as I?m returning, to that ol? place again-I sit and shine my shoes in the den.
And that rocking chair beckons to me. I walk by it and I nearly tip it over with, those memories.
Fish on the wall, but the most important of all-it was snowing outside, in July. You were surprised, so was I.
We didn?t survive like I thought we would and the future just ended for good.
And I?m sorry we did escape. When the seasons change I think Ill be heading back again. Trees near the swing set, the pool that needed cleaning. And you?ll be there to see me in the Spring. And outside the rainbow did shine on the most important time, is when the snow fell down in mid-Julyyyyyyyyy. The snow comes down in mid-July.
So now we?re fast converging on that ol?place again. To feed the flame of way back when. A sleepy town just to settle my soul. I walk through it and my spirit starts to wander through those memories.
Fish on the wall, but the most important of all. It was snowing outside in July. You were surprised so was I. We didn?t survive like I thought we would and the future just ended it good.
By the dojo, we forged a dream. When the seasons changed it found me heading back again. Tea at La Bonne Vie. And fools that gave up dreaming that you?d be there to see me in the Spring.
Still outside the rainbow did shine on the most important time, is when the snow fell down in mid-Julyyyyyyyyyyyyy.
We saw the snow fall down in mid-July.
