Song Description
Back in the 1970's and early 1980's, Harry covered most of the midwestern and southwestern United States, selling animal health products to veterinarians, feed yards and cattle ranchers. While entertaining his customers, he frequented many small town road houses and drinking establishments, often referred to as watering holes. Memories from those days gave rise to the humorous events and and larger-than-life people depicted in this song.

Lyrics
INTRO + HARMONICA
CHORUS:
Fast women... sloe gin
Beat up juke box ... good friends
Traveling salesmen... telling dirty jokes
Poor boy heaven... it's a WATERING HOLE
Lady bartender... full of wit
Cuss like a sailor... says kiss my grits
When she leans over... can't help but look
Spend your money... but you can't touch
Long haul trucker... rig's right outside
Looking for a lady... looking for a ride
Fat ass rancher... telling fat ass lies
To a black haired woman... with clear blue eyes
Feed yard cowboy... with a big o grin
On a feed yard pony... just rides right in
Nobody knows if... they should run or sit
Then some joker hollers... hey make that horse "talk"
CHORUS + HARMONICA
Nervous couple... out on the floor
Slow dancing a fast song... eying the door
She knows exactly... what's on his mind
Will he get lucky... come closing time
CHORUS + HARMONICA
