Story Behind The Song

I was a young, naive girl who was very trusting of other people who said they cared about me and wanted to help me. I moved to Chicago with my band after we made friends with a band from that city. They were our "friends" until we moved up here and were at their mercy since we had no money and didn't know anyone else here. The leader of the other band was a very smart, manipulative person who made me feel like I was a bad person because I wouldn't do what she wanted me to and she also tried to turn my band against me. Because I was so trusting and homesick since I was in a new city for the first time, I fell for it for awhile. But then I started to see how she controlled the people around her by cult leader type tactics and I became very angry. My band and I were stuck with them for a couple of months because we didn't have anywhere else to go and to express my feelings, I wrote this little love letter. We no longer talk to them, but I got a good song out of it!
