To the forest

Song Length 5:43 Genre Rock - General

Lyrics

I went down to the ocean, took a good look around. I was struck by the silence, the dying earth the only sound.
I went up to the mountains, and they were on fire. So I turned to my own mother nature to hopefully get me higher.
I went down to the city, took a good look around. I was struck by the dirt , the scum, the filth, the bodies lying on the ground.
So I went to the forest, and I built a fire. Then I turned to my own mother nature to hopefully get me higher.

As the sun goes down, and the sad moon glows, an old life dies, and a new tree grows. As the sun comes up, on a brand new day, one man's freed, and another has his freedom taken away.

I fell into the ocean and, I could finally see, that the wind is my mother, you are the sun, the dying earth is me.
I fell into existence, like, falling into a dream. I wake up to resistence, and the fact that nothing's ever what it seems.
I fell into the city, like, falling into a well. Had no products to peddle, no everlasting life to sell.

We only have one life to live. So don't you try and tell me what to say. We only have one chance to give. So do it right and give it all away.
