La Vaquita

Story Behind The Song

I used to help teach a Marine Biology Course in Tucson. We used to take trips to Puerto Penasco, Mexico. It was there That I learned about La Vaquita, The worldest smallest porpoise and is an endangered species due to over fishing. So in light of that I wrote this song.

Song Description

This song is all instrumental with some guest singers in the background (dolphins). I recorded it all on bass, with the melody played on a regular four-string but strung as a piccolo bass. I just like the melody and the chord structure, there is nothing too fancy just a relaxing little piece.
