Broadjam Member Reviews

Nice intro mood, a bit on the ominous side and then when the song kicks in it's gentle and mellow. I like minor iv first inversion that gives a nice half step above the fifth of I. This would be great on a meditation /chill out collection. It's very serene and the sound & arrangement is perfectly balanced and developed.

The intro eases us into the song. When the piano comes in I hear that The song has got nice melody lines. The lead piano is well played
The subtle guitar in the song works very well.
Did I mention the melody lines? I've played the song a few times now and they have wormed their way into my brain...
My reference would be Chariots of Fire by Vangelis

Lyrics

Trying To Say Goodbye
(The Traveler)
By Peter Schwepker
Copyright, 1998, 2012

(Intro)

(Verse 1)

Are you a traveler in paradise?
And do you see this world through new eyes?
And have you found your way back home?
Trying your best to say goodbye?

(Verse 2)

Have you returned to that mountain high?
Where you once said you thought you touched the sky
And have you caught that shooting star
That escaped your lunging try?

(Chorus)

And does God's heaven let you roam
To earthly places that you called home?

Bridge

Trying to say Goodbye
Trying to say Goodbye
Goodbye

 (Verse 3)

And have you wandered all heaven's space?
I think I see you shining in the night
Clinging to your shooting star
Waving as you pass us by
Across the sky and out of sight

Ending

Trying to say Goodbye
Trying to say Goodbye
Goodbye
