Story Behind The Song
"Forest Rejoicing" is a celebration of Forest as being by nature Joyful. We have the sensation that nature is just fine left to its own, that everything is ok, and that humankind is cordially invited to show up and be a part of it.
Song Description
A 71/2 minute "ride" through a forest at high speed, as if such a thing were possible. The components here are solo violin, pulsing world-beat percussion floating behind acoustic grand piano, mandolin, bagpipes, and in places dazzlingly orchestrated with full strings, heraldic trumpets, tympani, and thunder-and-lightning effects. A multi-ethnic experience which sounds like it's not just from Somewhere, but Everywhere. This is also a very dynamic piece, with heavy contrast throughout between space and density, suggesting some of the early music of Weather Report. A truly unique piece of work, and the amazing thing is it all works.

Lyrics
Although technically considered "electronic" in how the piece was created, the intent was to have a sort of "organic" sound suggesting "real" instruments and the real wood-the "fruit of the Forest" as it were-that those instruments came from.
