Story Behind The Song

I got agitated because I kept hearing people down African American youth constantly. I heard people talk about how ignorant we are. None of those people realize the odds that Black kids face in America. This song is an attempt to allow people to walk a day in our shoes, where dope dealers and gangstas are role models, becuase one has not been exposed to other things besides on television.

Song Description

This song sheds light on the everyday occurances in the "hood", and the pressures that the youth face. It is from the perspective of a person who has been through that lifestyle. "Product Of The Hood" is not an excuse, but it is intended to inform the people who are ignorant to what's going on in the "hood".
