Story Behind The Song

"I'm A Boss" was inspired by my position at my 9 to 5. I am a project manager, and I had my bouts with the streets while I was growing up. It was a long struggle to get to where I'm at. I know that there are a lot of teenagers who grew up in the "hood" and were forced to see poverty, and many turned to selling drugs. I wrote this song to inspire youth to reach for the stars. I wanted them to see that they could be successful without doing wrong.

This song is a testament that are alternative routes to success. In order to understand what the song stands for, one has to know the story behind it. The hook explains the principle of the song. The verses explain my situation presently. The hook means that I don't have to be discreet, in the streets, or I don't have to worry about having money because I'm living legal.
