Story Behind The Song

A beautician (we call them beauty queens here in Ky) decides it's time to cut her boyfriends boyish long hair into a more mature and clean cut. He in turn has an eye opening experience and realize's it is indeed time to grow up. Hence a boyfriend becomes a husband. It really happened exactly that way. The first two lines (both words and melody) were born in that chair during that haircut.

Song Description

A guy is blaming the long hair hanging in his eyes for the reason he couldn't see how much she loved him and he loved her. As she snips away the long bangs (which were hanging like a curtain) from his eyes, and the long blonde locks that everyone always attributed to "looking like Robert Plant" he see's the light and to her surprise, he makes his proposal. May seem a little odd to a man but every woman who hears the song thinks "it's just adorable". No lie. They understand every single hair reference from rinse - snip - perm and set!
