Story Behind The Song

This is a song that I wrote for my fiannce who is now my wife. I've never truly been a gambler, but life itself is a gamble and marriage in particular. Therefore, entering marriage is one of the biggest gambles, but in this case, I felt I had a sure thing. That's the way it's working out too: we're very happily married.

This is a cheerful country song that is about a gambler falling in love. He finally finds someone that he feels is a sure bet and that he can't lose, so he abandons lady luck and says, "I'm takin' all my money off the black jack table and I'm bettin' it all on you.
