Reminiscent of the Beach Boys -- and featuring Billy Hinsche, who performed with that group for over 30 years -- "California Soul" recreates the fun Summertime feeling of California. "California Soul" is the story of a Guy who is "Lonely and drifting through the darkness alone as he searches for his meaning" -- and then "Leaves behind his Ego for a brand-new start." And a Gal who is "Looking for direction" -- who then "Let's go of her burden" and "Let's a higher force took control." Then once they "Get the Cali feeling," they "Find their home sweet home." For "California Dreaming is where the milk and honey flow." California Soul turns out to be a "Golden state of mind." They then experience California's splendor: "Seeing the Golden Gate, Redwoods trees, and Yosemite, hiking California's trails, and driving on the coast and visiting Tinseltown. Finally, they find themselves "Living the Cali dream on a sandy beach" and seeing "The mountains and the deserts all within their reach." All because they embraced "California Soul."
