Lyrics

Pondering the End
I'm going to talk now, oh yeah I'm going to talk and you're going to listen. Why? Because for some of you, this may be your very last chance.

First message is to the children. You need to do well in school. Do well in school and make your own decisions in life. If you don't then someone else will make those decisions for you, and you're not going to like them.

The next question is always why must you take trigonometry when you know you won't be using it in life? Simple answer, because in life we need to excel at things we don't necessarily like. Trigonometry is just that first test. don't fail it.

Now, for the grownups. We're not supposed to talk politics and religion are we? But right now, we have no choice because we need to straighten this mess out.

You want God? When? When you're broke? When you're sick? Don't you think it's a little bit late to be asking for favors then? Try being a good person throughout life and giving to others if you can, and when you can. This makes you as religious as any person on Earth.

So next time you're on line at Walmart, the line is long, you're having a bad day, funds are short, you want to curse the world, smile at the people next to you because they are having a bad day too. They will smile back and you will realize your God is there too.

Politics. How dare I? How dare YOU! Oh yeah maybe you voted, but what else did you do? Politicians only care about one thing, how to keep themselves in the life they've become accustomed to as elected officials. Problem is we expect these people to guide our country, when we are supposed to be guiding them. Majority still rules. When you want to affect change, speak out about it, write to the officials, encourage others to do so. Interesting thought...just like God, don't expect your politician to be there for YOU, when you weren't truly involved in the first place

Two saying that I live by "It's not where you are, it's who your with." And "The only free cheese is in a mousetrap." How can we say the sun's not shining when we have the people we love around us? And don't believe anything in this world comes cheap or easy. The cost may be money, it may be emotion but there's always a price to be paid.

Has any of this sunk in? Has it found a place inside of you? Prove it! Kids, show your parents a better report card. Adult folks...Do that kind deed unselfishly, and without a hidden agenda. Be involved and speak your mind, while we all still have a chance. Most of all.....Pray for Peace
