Song Description

Those cell phones can be so annoying!! Do we really need them like we been told? Just asking and wondering.

Story Behind the Song

I was driving in my car and noticed how many times I had to avoid a traffic situation because of someones inattentiveness to the traffic because of 'that thing in your ear." Wrote this song in a flurry of irate satire. The song is a lot of fun to play and sing. Most people in the audience even end up nodding their heads in recognition of their similar predicaments as they pull out their cells to call the next person on their multitasking list.

Lyrics

Hey you on the phone.
Well, ain't you got one of those at home?
If you don't watch where your going son,
I'm gonna have to call ole 911.

(Chorus)
Hey you on the phone.
Well, ain't you got one of those at home?
Hope you see that light up ahead.
Cause if you don't you may be dead!
(If you don't you may be dead!)

Hey you on the phone.
Well, ain't you got one of those at home?
Spouse is in the seat right next to you.
Who's more important, her or you?

(Chorus)
Hey you on the phone.
Well, ain't you got one of those at home?
Hope you see that light up ahead.
Cause if you don't you may be dead!
(If you don't you may be dead!)

Hey you on the phone.
Well, ain't you got one of those at home?
Dontcha have enough of that work to do,
without taking it in your car with you?

(Chorus)
Hey you on the phone.
Well, ain't you got one of those at home?
Hope you see that light up ahead.
Cause if you don't you may be dead!
(If you don't you may be dead!)

Hey you on the phone.
Well, ain't you got one of those at home?
Me Bell, Sprint and MCI,
they say you need it and that's a lie.

(Chorus)
Hey you on the phone.
Well, ain't you got one of those at home?
Hope you see that light up ahead.
Cause if you don't you may be dead!
(If you don't you may be dead!)

Hey you on the phone.
Well, ain't you got one of those at home?
They say warts look kinda weird.
So how's it look with that thing in your ear.

(Chorus)
Hey you on the phone.
Well, ain't you got one of those at home?
Hope you see that light up ahead.
Cause if you don't you may be dead!
(If you don't you may be dead!)
(If you don't you may be dead!)
(If you don't you may be dead!)
