Story Behind The Song
The idea was brought to the table by John Washiington, the band's bassist. It came out a creativity rehearsal session and was first musically shaped and molded and, eventually, a simpler approach won out over other takes on the song. After the music was satisfactory, it was then submitted to Baye Osei, the band's lead vocalist. It took about 2 weeks to construct the song.
Song Description
To formally usher in the GHETTO METAL movement, a heavy powerful song was needed to to introduce the band and it's original new sound. Combining the fierceness of Heavy Metal and the raw elements of Hip Hop, "POWERBOMB" emerged. It has since been played on college radio stations and given a big thumbs up in Australia.
