Story Behind The Song
This is a cool ballad Josh C came up with. We've kept it simple and still play it acoustic with a little bass and harmonica thrown in. The lyrics reflect on how sometimes we live life too careful and safe... we don't take risks and have to be in control. I guess this song hits home to me because I can struggle with this and hate the idea of failing. But in life you've got to just let go and stop stressing and worrying and realize you're ultimately not in control... --Brian Weber

Lyrics
No Regrets
(Campbell/Weber- 3/2004)
VERSE 1
She pulls her hair back and she ties it in a knot
Lets out a nervous laugh and then we start to talk
Of all our battle scars from the wars we have waged
Writing our history in the choices we have made
CHORUS
A life with no regrets is what we struggle for
And so we hedge our bets and we win but we lose more
As the energy we?re spending hoping for a happy ending slowly starts to take its toll
Could it be that to be free means giving someone else control?
INSTRUMENTAL BREAK
VERSE 2
She sees through my disguise and takes my trembling hand
Looks into my eyes sees who I truly am
A man who has regrets but one who travels on
Trusting he will get back to the place he started from
CHORUS
BRIDGE
This film plays before my eyes
The story of our lives
These roles in which we?re cast
Results of chosen paths
INSTRUMENTAL BREAK
