Story Behind The Song
This is another old one Josh and I wrote way back in the Joliet days. He came up with this cool little progression on his acoustic guitar... very repetitious but very catchy. To this day I like the feel and sound of it... we've tried it as a full band and I think it is one of my bro-in-law's (Bill Carroll) favorite songs of ours. But we don't play it much live... it's like we have all these great ideas for it and it could be awesome with multiple layers and some production but it's hard to just simply play with our instrumentation... I still like the rawness of it though... lyrically it is about the fact that there is a whole spiritual world behind this tangible world that we live in... and perhaps it is even more real than the world we know. But we tend to trust what we can touch and yet we are not satisfied and long for more.... --Brian Weber
more notes: This song has gone through quite an evolution. The final cut on the CD These Three Remain is quite a bit different from how the song started out. Josh C reworked the whole thing and it has this real raw blues feel to it now. It's a great version of the song. Hope you enjoy... --Brian Weber 4/14/05

Lyrics
Intangible
(Josh Campbell-Brian Weber 1996)
V.1
We?re just sitting here got nowhere else to go
We?re just sitting here got nothing else to be
Somewhere something?s said for sitting very still
To speculate what someone meant when they said we were free
v.2
Someone?s laughing but I didn?t get the joke
I see you standing there behind your cloud of smoke
Intoxicating memories but there?s a time to sit
Let?s take a moment to be real
Let?s take this moment to be real
CHORUS
There?s more here than what is seen
another world behind the scenes of it all
and what I know I can?t explain
there?s something that just came innate to me
show you by the sense of touch
I?d like to do that very much its intangible
All I know is if I could, then I?d wonder if I should have to
v.3
Wonder if I should have to while we?re sitting here
Should I have to when you possess it to
And somewhere something?s said for sitting very still
Let?s take a moment to be real
It?s your moment to be real
