A Little Bit of Judas

Story Behind The Song

Years ago I became involved with trying to teach kids computers in the juvenile detention center nearby. It didn't work well but along the way I met and recruited an ex-oulaw biker who had since reformed and was the a pastor of a Christian motorcycle club. He took over the job with an old friend of mine and both of them were great positive influences on the kids. THis experience caused me to re-examine my life and see what was I not doing to help my fellow man. I saw that we have followed a false path looking for money and fame, when the most important things are free and more fulfilling in life.

Lyrics

See the poor man, walking down the street, he's pushing a carriage, looking for something to eat,
I'm sitting here in my, Grand Cherokee, got a good day job and its, taking care of me,
I'm following Jesus, but I just can't help wonder,
if there's a little bit of Judas, in all of us.

There's Sue the manager, she's been taking care of business,
looking for another job, looking like the rest of us,
She put her faith in the, corporation,
they took her talent, youth and even her soul,
Now she's feeling used and she can't help but wonder
if there's a little bit of Judas, in all of us.

Oh when will we ever learn,
that to put your faith in man, is to get burned.
You can only look back and see, the misery,
when there's a little bit of Judas, in all of us.

Watch out for Reverend Tom, he's on the go, now.
has his downtimes, but they never show, now.
You can find him most, every Tuesday, working with the inmates, teaching about the Judgment Day,
The children love him and they can't help but wonder,
if there's a little bit of Jesus, in all of us.
