Story Behind The Song
When I was in Hawaii a couple of years ago watching a hula dance that represented waves I was reminded of waking up early in the morning in South Africa and listening to the birds and insects sing their songs with complex harmonies and rhythms. I bet that humans weren't the inventors of music, but immitators of what we heard in the jungles and forrests.
I think that the whole earth sings a beautiful symphony to its Creator if we'll just open our ears and litsen.

Lyrics
I am learning everyday to see things in a brand new way
The Lord has opened up my eyes to see creation's praise
Chorus:
And the birds taught me to sing
The waves taught me to dance
But You teach me to love
You teach me to love, love, love
Every creature, everything has a unique song to sing
We could learn a thing or two by watching what they do
Chorus...
The frog taught me to hop, hop, hop
The rooster taught me to 'crow'
And the parrot taught me to share it
with everyone I know
Chorus...
The sheep taught me to 'bah'
The monkey taught me to climb a tree
And the crocodile taught me to smile
for everyone to see
The fish taught me to swim
The skunk made me proud of who I am
And the puppy taught me I'm lucky
to be someone's best friend
Chorus...
