Story Behind The Song
The history of a slew of disfunctional relationships with alcoholic men. In the beginning they always seemed like my lost prince Aragon with thier tall stature and fancy cars (and yes Ford trucks). However, eventually the illusion burned off, and their true colors for the love of the bottle over me shone through. With a little therapy and a lot of yoga classes... I began to look inside, and realized my key to freedom and strength had been patiently waiting inside me the whole time. :)!

Lyrics
Chorus:
There'll always be a place in my heart for you, although it's gettin' smaller.
I know you didn't mean the words you said and prob'ly not even the things you did.
Thought I knew all about it.
Thought I knew what it was to cry,
But you drug me down real quick boy,
Never knew what hit me.
Chorus: There'll always be a place in my heart for you although it's gettin' smaller.
Love me and leave me what's the fun of all that?
Is that what you're after or did I miss a chapter?
So now I gotta thank you mister right for then,
For givin' me a place to hang my hat.
Fiddle Solo:
Chorus:
Always thought I'd want a man who drove a pick up truck,
Big Ole wheels to carry us far from home.
But they always like their whiskey more than they like me,
Whose this girl with her skirt above her knee?
So off I go to buy myself a Ford,
Carry me along the road.
Chorus:
So rock a bye sweet lady me.
Someday you may learn from your mistakes,
But for now just let it be.
Open your eyes it's you who's free.
Open you eyes it's you who's free.
Open your eyes it's you who's free.
