Story Behind The Song
I wrote this song while listening to my mother sing Schubert. She lost my father years ago. He died of cancer and she was left alone. She sang of the moon in this particular German Lieder. That night I saw the moon rise. It was the harvest moon, a huge golden globe. I thought of my mom, her strength, power and beauty and with the glory of the moon shining in the window, I wrote this song.
Song Description
The moon is glorious as it climbs the evening sky. Yes she is alone, but she is still a beacon for all of us on earth. The moon is a metaphor for us. Believe in our individual beauty, and we too can be glorious.

Lyrics
Fly away my lucky star,
You know my wishes now.
Chorus: Hello moon so yellow moon.
How does it feel to be alone and full of glory?
Like a ship without a sail,
We stand in the waves,
Let them pull with all their insides.
Chorus: Hello moon, so yellow moon,
How does it feel to be alone and full of glory?
Let's dance in this moonlight,
Lightly sway it will flow.
Bless this place still with fullness.
Rich of changeable winds.
And let me be alone with your glory moon,
And my desire.
Chorus: Hello moon...
