Story Behind The Song
Ala R. Kelly's "I Believe I Can Fly" and ala Ruben Studdard. This song is the story of all of us who dream the dream. I twas originally written at the request of Bob and Rob Cavallo at Hollywood Records for the Denzel Washington film Remember the Titans produced by Jerry Bruckheimer. It almost made the film and has come close on several major projects.

Lyrics
Written by Erik Isaacs, Craig Owens, Jeremy "J" Monroe, and Greg Lawson. Copyright 2000.
(Verse 1)
Ever since I was a little child
I felt something calling me
But I was much too young to see
All along I failed to see the signs
Right there in front of me
Was my destiny
(Build 1)
And I know I didn?t always do things right
But I knew that I would make it if I tried
If I?
(Hook)
Dream the dream
Just believe
Anything?s possible
Life can be wonderful
Dream the dream
Have faith and see
Nothing?s impossible
All you have to do is dream the dream
(Verse 2)
People often thought I was a fool
Somehow that inspired me
To be the best that I can be
Against the odds I conquered all my fears
I knew there was sacrifice
Before I could realize
(Build 2)
That dreamers shouldn?t have to close their eyes
If they wanna see their dreams come alive
If they?
(Hook)
(Bridge)
Now every time I look up to the sky
The clouds don?t really seem so very high
I know that I can reach them if I try
I never lost the child in me
This dreamer has survived
(Hook-Repeat)
