Wanted to find a way to depict a lovely and surprising friendship between two very unlikely parties.

Song Description

A scarecrow is left alone in a field, abandoned and alone. But an affable, friendly crow takes up the slack, befriends the poor scarecrow, and they start up a merry dance.

First, the Farmer built the Scarecrow "Not",

And set him in a field to rot; the Farmer built the Scarecrow Not;

Now the Scarecrow Not, couldn't scare crows at all

From his fir pole so tall,

And the Crickets would say, "What a strange, strange way

To Spend a Grinnin' Day!"


Then there came Bold Sam

Eating Greenleaf...


Jam, ...was a bold Crow, Sam,

Said, "Do you know who I am?"

"Jam!" said the Bold Crow Sam;

Now, the Bold Crow Sam liked scarecrows,

And hit the spot with Not.
