Story Behind The Song

I was not in a relation at the time of writing this. In fact, I actually just wrote this song as a poem to a friend at first. obviously the words were somewhat different at the time. A friend I made at American Idol tryouts no less. We hit it off and were from completely different areas so have only actually seen each other a handful of times over the last 8 years or so. But still remain in contact.

Song Description

As a musician and writer, an ordinary life does not bring the needed amount of inspiration to fuel the creative mind. But breakups and makeups do a lot to help new songs come about. Though this song seems mostly to be about the girl leaving, it is more a reflection upon the writers character and letting the girl know that he'll be back, if even for just one night.
