Lyrics

Held Captive

Words and Music: Doug Faigel

Chorus:
Held captive. I can?t escape.
I know that loving you cannot be some mistake
I won?t take freedom, if loving you is wrong
I?m caught in the middle, held captive by your song

Verse 1:
It started simply, an evening of song and wine
Didn?t know how the tale would end or that our lives would intertwine
Then all at once, heaven opened and the gates of hell gave way
And I knew that I just had to stay

Chorus

Verse 2:
And as the days went past my desire for your grew
Bel Canto in the air every song I sang for you
After many nights when you finally came to me
I knew that I would always be

Chorus

Bridge:
In the darkness is where I fell alive
But will our love survive to see the day?
When I feel the sunlight shining from your eyes
It makes me realize you?ll stay

Chorus

Held captive, held captive, held captive, held captive by your song
Held captive, held captive, held captive, held captive?
