Story Behind The Song
I (Cammie, singer) actually had a *good* boyfriend, so there went all my great angry inspiration for songwriting. This was my so of frustration that I could no longer write frustrated songs because I was too happy. He needed to "go away so i could be mad again"!
Song Description
Short accoustic intro. Listen for a missed note. We left it in there for thrills. The song doesn't really want to stay happy, sad, or mad. So you get several doses of all the above. The wall of guitars is what are engineer called 'putting a big gnarly on it'. We feel that worked out very nicely.
The ending of the song still throws our drummer for a loop. I don't think he gets it or ever listens to lyrics anyway.... and he listens to korn so it pains him to leave the minor chords and OD guitar.

Lyrics
VERSE 1
You took my ability, notes used to flow from me
and my bottle of indigo.
Releasing what I could, hoping that it would
touch and let go in this crowd of one.
PRE-CHORUS
But now I can't, I've lost it all.
You ran with it and left me taped together and happy.
Now I can't, I've lost it all,
You're turning me sick and sappy.
CHORUS:
So go away so I can be mad again
and go away so I can be sad again
and go away so I can leave myself in Misery
and go away so I won't love you for eternity.
VERSE 2
You took my ability, it used to be so easy
To light the bright and see through to me.
Releasing what I could, hoping that it would
touch and let go in this crowd of one.
