Lyrics

I gave my love a cherry that has no stone
I gave my love a chicken that had no bone
I gave my love a ring that has no end
I gave my love a baby with no cryn'

How can there be a cherry that has no stone?
How can there be a chicken that has no bone?
How can there be a ring that has no end?
How can there be a baby with no cryn'

A cherry, when its blooming, it has no stone.
A chicken when its pipping, it has no bone.
A ring when its rolling, it has no end.
A baby when its sleepin' has no cryn'

I gave my love a baby.

Beautiful melody, very classic celtic folk song. The singer has an amazing voice. Very well recorded, arranged and mixed. Very well done, bravo. Thanks for shaing it.

This a really good cover of a great song. good job....

Nice harmonies and instrumentation.

Great job here, Delta! You are so dedicated! Very impressive. Keep up the good work!

If you are looking for a peaceful lullaby to listen to before you go to sleep, listen to this tranquil rendition of a traditional, well-loved lullaby. It emanates peace! The guitar is beautifully and gently played, complementing the sweet, lovely vocals, nicely self-harmonized. The underlying soft strings bed cushions the whole track nicely. Beautiful job!

Beautiful voice and very good backing vocals as well, I also like the keyboards and guitar work as well.

You have a very pretty voice, the soft tender sound is very soothing. Nice simple song.

Beautiful version of an old favourite. Soulful, restrained vocal that always stays accurate. The same goes for the vocal harmonies. Pleasant backing that never meddles. Some excellent guitar picking. Smooth, unobtrusive arrangement and recording. A production well worth listening to.

Very well recorded and mixed. Love the depth and space of instrumentation. It really allows the song to speak strongly. Very nice performances too. I like the lyric concept/message.

I liked the vocal style on this song. I reminded me of any early Marianne Faithful album which has always been a favorite of mine. The drone aspect of the accompaniment was an effective contrast to the voice. I do wish it had been mixed a little differently to give the voice more prominence.

lovely voice ,nice arrangement, very atmospheric

Very pretty rendition. Definitely has the traditional feel.
Quite a relaxing listen. Very nicely done.
