Story Behind The Song
On a two month trip to India, I witnessed homelessness and noticed my own sense of displacement--hearing a child crying on the streets, I reflected that no matter our identity, all people share a common yearning for home.

Lyrics
You Are Home
© 2004 Deborah Crooks
Another door before me
As face another day
And still I wear this question
And wait for you to say
You are home
You are fine
You are not alone
You are mine
Here a baby cries
The lament of this plight
How to find comfort
Through any color night
And you are nowhere near
So I?m holding you in my heart
Though I wondeer if you were here
Would we know how to start
And say
You are home
You are fine
You are not alone
You are mine
Bridge:
Head up or head down
We?re all walking our roads
Kicking dust to find a place
Hoping to find some grace
And hear
You are home
You are fine
You are not alone
You are mine
